Our Programs - Veteran K9

Extended Rescue Program:

Veteran K9 takes pride in working with local rescues to support our mission of helping others. These rescues help us select, foster, and feed the dogs that come into our program. To learn more about our Extended Rescue Program or to sign up to foster please fill out the application below.

Warrior Program:

In Veteran K9’s Warrior Program we supply veterans currently in Veterans Court the opportunity to be placed with a service or emotional support dog at no cost to them. These Veterans go through training to learn ways to regulate themselves through tough things in their personal lives. Working with direct referrals from case workers we strive to help each veteran transition onto a new fuller life with their dog beside them.

Angel Paws Program:

In our Angel Paw Program, we send trained therapy dogs with our junior handlers to specific locations such as schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. etc. From working with a child who is learning to read or visiting a senior in assisted living to helping veterans, therapy dogs and their handlers work together as a team to improve the lives of other people. Therapy dogs are not service dogs.
